Message You say that as if it doesn't sound fun as hell.

But your point is valid, just bear in mind the 240sx isn't a bad car, it's the stupid people that do terrible things to them that are. No different from the Z32. Many members here have a high appreciation for the s-chassis, and they don't do ricey things to them. Bernie and Ric (HaloTTZ) both have very nice 240s.

You don't have to like them, just like I don't like mustangs, but it doesn't change the fact that there are large groups that congregate together for the chassis the same way you do for the Z, online and in large parking lots and fast food restaurants, and it doesn't make them bad, just different.

I'm sure all the hipsters riding around on their fixed-gears are complaining about all the old farts in their heavy pig z cars that think they're fast but can't make a turn for their life. It's all perspective. Doesn't mean they're wrong, it just means they appreciate a different perspective of a car. I think the same way you do, that the cars look as bad as their clothes, but they're not hurting anyone imo.

But those of us here who have owned 240s have all been very clean, stockish or tastefully modded. The 240sx is basically an ugly, lighter, vastly cheaper, more practical, more-mod-option and better-gas-mileage version of the Z32. It's like owning a lego version of a z32 that you can never quite make look as good. But they require half as many parts, and are much cheaper and easier to maintain and thus make a much better DD than a Z32.

Cheers,
JBrobst,
